So What’s The Story…

Wizard Guitars has been going for over 30 years, but its current incarnation started back in 2015. Aussie bred Zoran Dobrin bought the business from the original owner who decided to move on from the business.

The focus at Wizard back then was making sure we had a professional team who could keep up the expections of excellent customer service and detailed knowlege of gear. As a result, now long time employees of Wizard Guitars Reuben and Philip Bentley were taken onboard to ensure these expectations were met. Phil had already years of knowledge, starting to work in the guitar industry back in the original Wizard Guitars in Doncaster, and to this day performing some of the greatest tech in England. To try and modernise the business with a higher standard of media and bring in a fresh face, Zoran hired Reuben, who with a quickly developing passion for guitar, sponged up the world of guitar.

Over the years, all 3 of them developed the business into a whole new era. The shop on Ecclesall Road was redesigned to make the most of the space as they started to take on more and more brands that are known and loved.

Skip forward to 2022, Wizard Guitars had to make a choice…

The old Ecclesall Road store was full to capacity and the changing area made it harder for people to get into the store. In order to keep improving Wizard and provide a better location, Wizard moved to a new store located in the centre of the city of Sheffield. With a fresh new look and bigger store, we developed a reputation for providing a comfortable and relaxed enviroment that remembered and respected customers both new and old.

Today, Wizard has a wide range of new and second hand gear from all the brands that people know and love, while retaining that personal touch that the old store once had… So, come by anytime we are open, and be greeted by our expect team who are happy to help with anything you need.
