Description
c.Late 1930s Kalamazoo Made by Gibson KG-31 Archtop. Solid Spruce top with solid Mahogany back, sides and necks, Brazillian Rosewood fingerboard which has had a re-fret, Tortoise shell pickguard, Orginal tuners, Trapeze tailpiece with wood floating bridge. This guitar appears to have at some point have had a neck reset and a pickup fitted that was eventually removed. There is also a crack on the underside of the guitar. This is an affordable version of Gibson’s L style Archtops from this period. Plays amazingly and has the classic sound of traditional Blues and Jazz of the period.
